Printing

Today we are going to be working with the 'My Alphabet Shape Book'. We are going to be completing letter B today. You will need both sets of papers (As seen below) for this activity.

Task:

  1. Trace the uppercase B's, continue printing them to fill the line

  2. Continue on with the lowercase B's

  3. Find the correct page that your child needs to cut out for the 'B' page (Bees by a Beehive) -- As you can see, there are duplicates of the cutting page. You only need one set. The other set can be used to practice cutting (also if any major mistakes are made on the first set, these can be used)

  4. Have your child cut out the shapes from the correct page - Bees by a Beehive --- What is the name of each shape used? Triangle, rectangle, circle etc.

  5. Glue them on to the printing page where the shapes are.

  6. Colour the page

Take a picture of your child's work and upload it to Seesaw

Listen to the Jolly phonics song - Jolly Phonics Letter B

Numeracy

You will need the rocks we made a couple of weeks ago -- #'s 1-5 or 1-10 (or whatever the item was that you have your numbers on).

Steps:

  1. Scramble up your rocks

  2. Pick up a rock/number

  3. What is that number? (say it out loud)

  4. What number comes just before the rock you picked? Find the rock and place it in front of your first rock.

  5. What number comes after the number you picked? Find the rock and place it in the correct position.

  6. Pick another rock and do the same thing

Example: I pick up rock number 3. I place it down in front of me. What number comes before? Number 2! What comes after? Number 4!
