Gingerbread Boy
- Make sure that today you finish coloring and gluing your storyline together. The last three pages will go on the back side of the long red sheet with the other pictures.
- After finishing this step, it is time to practice re-telling the story with your characters and the storyline!!
Storyline order:
1) Kitchen
2) House in the distance
3) Sunset
4) Barn
5) Barn in the distance and fields
6) River
Printing
Today we are going to be working with the 'My Alphabet Shape Book'. We are going to be completing letter Y today. You will need both sets of papers (As seen below) for this activity.


Task:
Trace the uppercase Y's, continue printing them to fill the line
Continue on with the lowercase y's
Find the correct page that your child needs to cut out for the 'Y' page (Yaak in the Yard)
Have your child cut out the shapes from the correct page - Yaak in the Yard --- What is the name of each shape used? Triangle, circle etc.
Glue them on to the printing page where the shapes are.
Color the page
Take a picture/video of your child while they are working and also of their work and upload it to Seesaw
Listen to the Jolly phonics song - Jolly Phonics Letter Y
- Have your child do their best to follow along with the words.
ACTION: Pretend to eat yogurt from a spoon saying y, y, y.

Optional: Can your child draw a picture of an animal that starts with the letter Y?
Winter Workbook
Look at the pictures below. What letter sound does that picture start with?
Ex. Ring starts with rrrrrr... Find the matching letter above and paste the picture on the correct letter.

Movement
Go for a walk or go play outside. Look for things while you are outside that start with the letter Y! If it is cold, make sure you dress warm!
