Sorting // number sense 0-5
Get your number rocks that you made yesterday.
Scramble all the rocks up.
Have your child match the rocks together (find the number 1 rock, and then find the rock that has one dot and place them beside each other)
Find items around the house and place them beside the rocks

EX. 1 - 1 crayon
2 - 2 socks
3 - 3 apples
4 - 4 stuffed animals
5 - 5 spoons
Optional: Sort your stuffed animals by lining them up from tallest to shortest. Is there any other ways that you can sort them?
Post a picture on Seesaw.
Word Work

Find a group of small items from around the house (Q-tips, lego, bocks, rocks, etc). Help your child write their name using the items. Post a picture on Seesaw.
Movement
Do ocean animal walks around outside and get some fresh air! Dress warm if you need. Crawl like a crab, giggle like a jellyfish, swim like a fish, what else can you think of (this can also be animals that do not live in the ocean).

Reading

Choose and complete one or all of the following reading activities:
1) Read a book to your stuffed animals
2) Read a book about zoo animals

- Listen to the story
- Use the use the prompts to have a conversation with your child about the book.
Reminder!! Tomorrow (Friday September 18) will be our first Materials Pick up.
Location: Lakeview Elementary School
Time: 8:30-11:45am
Materials will be placed outside of the school in an envelope with your child's name on it. Please do not enter the school. Please keep these materials in a safe place and all together until next week. We will be going through each of them as a class (I will explain what they all are), and working together to complete them over the next few weeks. Please do not play with/colour/complete the activities beforehand. Thank you!!
