Monster Sculptures
Make monster sculptures with playdough. Add eyes, arms, and legs!!
If you do not have any playdough at home, here is a fun recipe to make some!!!
2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (baby oil and coconut oil work too)
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right)
gel food colouring (optional)
few drops glycerine (my secret ingredient for stretch and shine!)
Method:
Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil in a large mixing bowl
Add food colouring TO the boiling water then into the dry ingredients
Stir continuously until it becomes a sticky, combined dough
Add the glycerine (optional)
Allow it to cool down then take it out of the bowl and knead it vigorously for a couple of minutes until all of the stickiness has gone. * This is the most important part of the process, so keep at it until it’s the perfect consistency!*
If it remains a little sticky then add a touch more flour until just right
Challenge!!!

Starfall Website - Exploration
Starfall Education Foundation is a publicly supported nonprofit organization. They create free and low-cost experiences where children can successfully learn through exploration and Games (online).
I have attached the Starfall website below. Please feel free to take a look before you let your child explore the website - I strongly encourage you to stay with your child while they are playing the games etc.
FRIDAY PACKAGE PICK-UP - Friday October 23
Hello parents! We are going to be having another package pick-up TODAY (Friday October 23). The pick up will be at Lakeview Elementary School from 9:30-11:30am. The packages will be outside of the front doors in two blue bins, labelled with your child's name.
Parents, inside the package, will be another envelope! Please do not open it until I say so! Thanks in advance!
For one of our activities on Thursday (October 29) we are going to be using Q-Tips. Your child will need about 15 for an art activity we will be completing!
